Keydets Open the Season with a 4-0 Victory Over Southern Virginia
A large crowd was on hand to witness nine different Keydets putting shots on goal with four going in. Ed Mills opened the scoring in the first period, arcing a corner kick direct into the net. Kieth Simpson followed for the next goal with an assist from Charles Nweke and VMI took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Jose Andueza scored VMI's third goal with another assist from Charles Nweke. Austin Keller closed out the scoring with a header off of a free kick from Barrett Luxhoj.
Charles Nweke, Michael Lloyd, Jeremy Clement, Barret Luxhoj, and Christian Bedger also had shots on goal for the Keydets (11 total).
Thomas Upton played all 90 minutes and made three saves.
