VMI – Roanoke Scrimmage Ends Deadlocked at 2-2
The VMI Men's Soccer scrimmage against Roanoke College ended in a 2-2 tie after two 45 minute periods and one 30 minute period. The team got off to a slow start but looked good in the second half. The first goal was scored by Addison Palenza (Jr) on a PK after Keith Simpson(Fr) was taken down in the box. The second goal was scored by Charles Nweke (Jr). The coaches liked what they saw but plan to make a few adjustments. The Keydets will host Southern Virginia and Mount St Mary's for their season openers on Sept 2 and 3 at Patchin Field.
