September 4th – Rats March in New Market Parade
On Sunday afternoon, the Rat Battalion and Color Guard from VMI headed to New Market, Va to march in the annual Labor Day Weekend Parade. Prior to the parade, the Rats visited the New Market Battlefield where they reenacted the charge up the hill of the VMI Corps of Cadets in the civil war Battle of New Market. A picnic lunch with families and friends took place between the charge and the parade.
