Article is chock full of info on two new recruits, Tyler Suttenfield and Will Quarles.

July 23rd - Additional Rat Update

Kathleen “Kat” Underwood, from Courtland High in Spottsylvania, VA earned 2nd team All-Battlefield District high school honors this past spring leading the Cougars to a 15-4-2 record before bowing out in the Region I Semi-Finals, earning 8 shutouts with a GAA of 1.05 over the 21 games of her senior season. A member of the National Honor Society, Kat graduated from Courtland with distinction and plans to study mathematics at VMI.

July 9th - Update: Incoming Rats

We found out a little more about our newcomers. VMI Keydets.com has posted 2006 Women's Soccer Quick Facts. This includes a roster with two new names on it. JD Collins from Varina High School in Richmond and Beatrice Charles from James Robinson Secondary school in Fairfax. We found this article on Beatrice: Delta Sigma Theta - In The Community. We also read that Alexi Staton from Roanoke won Blue Ridge District Player of the Year honors. Audrey Falconi's Tabagator club team won the Nevada State Cup this spring, defeating Chrissy Beach's Las Vegas Soccer Club in the semi-finals.

On the Men's side, we read that Tyler Suttenfield from Chester was voted All Academic VHSL Central Region and VHSL All Region Second Team. He was also named to the Richmond Times-Dispatch's All-Metro second team.

June 13th - North American Sand Soccer Tournament June 10-11, Virginia Beach, VA

Charles Nweke, Parker Thurman, and Tony Nweke played together.  They also took time out to pose for a picture with a hot ocean front life guard that came over to take in the match during her break.  She also happens to be Ed Mills Sister, Valerie!

Six Rats top the list. We have also heard that Parker Thurman will be back for his final year at VMI. The incoming Rats look pretty impressive. Here are the honors we managed to find:

Waiting for Region Honors to be announced

Tyler's Thomas Dale Knights just won their second consecutive VHSL AAA State Championship defeating Gar-Field 2-1 in triple overtime. The win was Thomas Dale's 48th consecutive victory (yes 48th).

June 8th- Construction of the New Soccer Field is Underway
