July 22nd Fun at the Beach

(l
to r) Josh Hanna '08, Jason Seagle '01, Edward Mills '07 at the
Summer 2005 Kick It 3v3 tournament at the Hampton Roads Soccer
Complex in Virginia Beach. Jason, who was a member of the
Keydet coaching staff last year, is now located in the
outerbanks doing personal training and coaching a U-16
Team. He brought his team to the beach for a very hot
weekend of soccer and was in need of a few more players so
he called on current Keydet's to help him out.
If anyone has other summer pictures to share please send them
on and we will post them.

July 4th Women's Soccer Team Receives Huge Gift
The VMI Alumni Review has reported that Charlotte and Gil Minor '63 have established the first endowed scholarship for the VMI Women's Soccer Team. This scholarship will be used each year to provide the equivalent of one out of state scholarship. Any additional income available in a given year will be available to any VMI women's intercollegiate athletic program for operating expenses or scholarships, as directed by the athletic director.
See the Spring 2005 Alumni Review for more details and an excellent article about the Minors and their love for VMI.
